Terms of Use

Wird Al-Qur'an · Last updated 1 August 2026

By creating an account or using Wird ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Using Wird

Wird is a Quran reading companion built around shared khatma circles. You may use it for personal, non-commercial reading and for reading together with people you invite. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything posted from it.

Content you post

Wird lets you write reflections on verses and share them with the circles you join. You keep ownership of what you write. You grant us only the permission needed to store your reflections and show them to the members of the circles you have chosen to share them with.

You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Wird. You agree not to post content that is:

You also agree not to harass, stalk, or abuse other members.

Reporting, blocking, and removal

Every reflection can be reported, and any member can be blocked, from inside the app. Reports are reviewed and we aim to act within 24 hours. A circle's creator can remove any reflection or remove a member from their circle, and you can delete your own reflections at any time.

Submitted reflections are also screened automatically, and content matching our prohibited-content filters is rejected before it is posted.

Enforcement

We may remove content and suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, without notice. Repeated or serious violations result in permanent removal.

Your account

You may delete your account and all of your data at any time from Settings → Delete account, or by emailing us. Deletion is permanent.

Religious content

The Qur'anic text, translations, and tafsir in Wird come from published sources and are reproduced as-is. Reflections are the personal words of the members who wrote them and are not scholarly rulings.

No warranty

Wird is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep your reading progress safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Changes

We may update these terms and will post the new version on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
